.......Shri Tegginamath Arts & Education Society, Harapanahalli of Davanagere District was founded in 1969 by his holiness Shri. Sha::Bra::Chandramouleshwara Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, a dedicated philosopher and Karmayogi who is fully committed to the cause of education. He has been ably assisted by the governing council and thousands of his followers. He has established several. Educational, technical and medical institutions through out the state catering to the needs of down trodden, and backward class learners.

.......Teacher Training Institute has been started in the year 1970 vide recognition no. TE2783-RGN-15/69-70, Date 06-06-1970/ TE6-2783/RGN/15/69-70, Date 26-03-1971, NCTE No. KR/E/07/SRO/NCTE/2004-05/82. Date: 05-04-2005. Keeping in consonance with the great national demand for primary school teachers.

......The institute was started in the year 1970 vide (State Government) recognition accorded by Department of Public Instructions Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore. The management appointed teacher educators, to train up the teachers trainees. The salary was borne by the management until the Teachers Training Institute got in to grant in aid. Students from all over Karnataka took interest to join here and get trained. Presently the intake capacity is 120. We have adequate lecturer halls, laboratories, play field, library and teaching staff.
